Aprašymas
Efficacy and the Arts is written in response to the findings and recommendations of contemporary arts research as an existential quest for meaning. This book is addressed to arts legislators and administrators, arts communicators and educators, not the least to performance artists and dance artists more specifically.
The author addresses in depth the relationship between spirituality and dance: and his study probes the subject via the arts, the sciences and religion. This book seeks to represent, reground and revision the way we think about the arts; have the arts, and dance more specifically, re-cognized and legitimized in terms of their intrinsic and ethical nature, their own form of life. The performance discourse is divided into three major parts; Part One - The Ethical, Part Two - The Aesthetic, Part Three - The Spiritual.
This book will be of interest to scholars and practitioners working in dance, performance, religion and philosophy.
